Yes. Park entrance fees are paid by passengers at the gate and are not included in the taxi fare. As of 2025, a 7-day pass to Grand Teton National Park costs $35 per vehicle and Yellowstone costs $35 per vehicle. America the Beautiful annual passes are also accepted. If your taxi driver is not entering the park (e.g. for a trailhead drop-off near the entrance), no park fee applies.
From Jackson to the South Entrance of Yellowstone is approximately 57 miles and takes about 1.5–2 hours depending on season and wildlife traffic inside Grand Teton NP. A full day in Yellowstone — driving the Grand Loop or hitting Old Faithful and Lamar Valley — typically requires 8–10 hours. We recommend an early start (6–7am) for best wildlife viewing and to beat the midday crowds.

Each season has its strengths. May–June brings wildflowers and newborn wildlife. July–August is peak summer — gorgeous but crowded. September and early October offer fall foliage and far fewer crowds — arguably the best time to visit. Winter (December–March) is magical for wolf tracking and snowy landscapes, though many roads are closed. We can advise based on your specific interests when you book.
